Ballito (U.K.) / c. 1933

Design: The design is identical to the Decca label, founded in 1928; this was evidently an advertising promotional record produced by Decca for the Ballito company, manufacturers of silk stockings. The lettering style of the 'Ballito' name is very much Art Deco.

History: Annette Mills (1894-1955) was an English musician, dancer and TV personality who achieved latter-day fame as the accompanist of children's puppet show character Muffin the Mule; George Barclay was a dance-band vocalist.
