Regal 3

Regal (U.K.) / c. 1921

Design: As in the case of almost all post-war labels, the type no longer follows an upper arc, but now travels straight across. The orb and sceptre used on the earlier Regal label have disappeared, the label becoming quite plain. The soft curves in the label name are reflected in the rounded edges of the panel lines.

History: This cheaply-priced British label, a Columbia subsidiary, was unrelated to the Regal label in the U.S.A. Eventually, it was amalgamated with the Zonophone label to become Regal Zonophone.
