Design: During the Depression years Okeh made changes to its size (becoming smaller), style (the logo is placed high, interrupting the decorative border).

History: Founded in 1918, the Okeh label name is legendary for being one of the first labels to record black musicians and cater to a black buying market. Sold to Columbia in 1926, it had disappeared by 1935, but was revived in the early 1940s. Label scan (above) courtesy of collector Ken Hagelthorn of the U.S.A.
