Design: The very small label size meant that the type sizes had to be kept relatively large and the graphics relatively small.

History: Label scan courtesy of music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K., who notes that this 5-1/2 inch 'baby' label was made by Crystalate for the Sound Recording Company, and was marketed through the Woolworth chain of stores in the U.K. "This was not a children's label," he notes, "as most of its issues were of dance bands and light classics."
