Lindex (Germany) / c. 1927

Design: The label name script lettering has more evenly-weighted verticals than the Gnom logo, but the treatment is generally very similar (note the return leading to the swash underline).

History: A subsidiary of the Lindström company, which had dominated the European record market since before WWI. The 6 inch (15 cm) records were primarily aimed at the children's market. Label scan above courtesy of collector Lucyna Lachowicz of Poland; alternate colour scans below courtesy of collector Gabriel Gössel of Czechoslovakia, who notes that the green label was used exclusively for recordings of the Czech and Slovak national anthems.
