Kodisk (U.S.A.) / c. 1923

Design: The well-designed logo of the 'label' name (which along with its 'snapshot' promotional blurb is an obvious spin on the well-known Kodak camera product) fits snugly inside the upper segment. Information on the content of the recording would be scratched into the metal surface in the spaces provided.

History: Kodisk, a home recording system using pre-grooved steel blanks, was launched in the early 1920s. More complete information can be found at the Mainspring Press website. Image courtesy of Jean Theriault of Canada.
