Klang-Wunder (Germany) / c. 1926

Design: Fun lettering for the label name, which cleverly incorporates a comic director at the top, with sound-waves issuing forth. A strong, well laid-out arrangement.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany, who writes: "Klang-Wunder was a label of Isiphon Concert Record GmbH, founded by Bruno Caster of Leipzig. According to Horst H. Lange (author of Die deutsche 78er Diskographie der Hot Dance und Jazz-Musik 1903-1958), Klang-Wunder was active from 1927 to 1929. In contrast to the label name ('wonderful tone'), the sound quality of the records was not so great!"
