Hytone Phonograph Record

Hytone Phonograph Record (U.S.A.) / 1920

Design: The label name is carried on a flowing banner containing a music staff loaded down with music notes, the contour being reminiscent of the Victor Monarch label of 20 years earlier. At a time when most labels were dropping the word 'Record' from the label name, the inclusion of the words 'Phonograph Record' also make the label old-fashioned-sounding.

History: Produced by the Arto company for the impressively-named Indestructible Phonograph Record Co., beginning in 1920 and lasting until 1921.
