Hydrola (Canada) / 1920

Design: A gorgeous, classic 1920s brush script logo, with curving baseline and and swash underline. The border is very classy also, with tiny understated decorations at the top and bottom.

History: A product of the Compo stable, run by Emile Berliner's son Herbert, and based in Lachine, Quebec. All the labels had the same blue and gold colour combination. Label scan courtesy of collector Owen Burgess of Canada.
