Design: The promotional record is devoid of any song title or artist, the only identification being 'A7.' The outer sleeve (bottom) features a carefully-drawn illustration, while the card on which the record is pasted features elaborate corner-pieces, printed in a nice biscuit-brown and black colour combination. Quite possibly, the units were packaged inside large biscuit-tins.
History: Beginning in 1822 as a small bakery in the town of Reading in Berkshire, England, Huntley & Palmer had by 1900 become the largest biscuit manufacturer in the world, surviving until the late 1960s. Scans courtesy of musicologist and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
