Design: The printing has been done by letterpress, so all the fonts are hot-metal. The top line, 'Disque,' is set in a lovely high-waisted stub-serif display typeface, possibly dating from the turn of the century. The word 'Colibri' is set in a sans-serif font called Futura, which was designed in Germany in 1925 and achieved instant international success. The numbers are set in Copperplate Gothic, designed in the U.S.A. in 1904. The other lines are set in Cheltenham, also designed in the U.S. in 1904 and widely popular ever since.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to info.re.78s@shaw.ca). Label scan courtesy of music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K., who notes: "All the material on this label seems to be Armenian."
