Disco Nacional Odeon (Argentina) / 1926

Design: The ubiquitous sun-rays are still present, though formatted differently, to effectively highlight the Odeon logo. The Odeon building now looks squat, its supporting columns having been shortened by about 50 per cent and its dome flattened (compare with the logo on the previous page) to make it fit within a circular shape. Note the quirky left-leaning lowercase 'o' in the word Odeon, matching the capitals in the original logo.

History: Founded by Jewish-Austro-Argentinian entrepreneur Max Glücksmann. Label scans courtesy of collector Martín Javier Gorosito of Argentina.
