Crystalate (France) / c. 1924

Design: The royalty stamp obscures the label name, set in a Victorian-era Gothic, and the graphics, which seems to be a fine-line drawing of an Aeolian lyre, frequently seen as a generic symbol of music on record labels (e.g. the Lyrophon label).

History: Manufactured by the Crystalate company of the U.K. and imported into France. Label scan courtesy of collector Graham Farnell of the U.K.
