Continental (Germany) / c. 1922

Design: The basic design and typographic treatment is virtually identical to the parent Kalliope design, even down to the arched baseline of the label name. The colour combination of gold on dark blue is exactly the same.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany, who writes: "The Continental label was issued by the Kalliope company. It was kind of saucy of them to reissue what was originally an Anker matrix from February 1910. Also, they simply listed 'Orchester' as a credit rather than what appeared on the original release: 'Anker-Orchester Friedrich Honigmann,' while giving it a 'new' matrix number, rather than the original #03333."
