Artista (U.S.A.) / c. 1928

Design: Note the perspective treatment of the lettering, perhaps influenced by the widening cinema screens of the period.

History: Unknown (have info? Please send to, but evidently an ethnic label catering to large Italian populations in New York and other big cities of the U.S.), since the colours are those of the Italian flag: red, green and white. Thanks to Ashot Arakelyan of Armenia, collector of recordings by operatic singers from the golden age, who supplied the following image of popular vocal artist Cav de Vita.
