Design: On early Zonophone labels the typographic treament was kept very simple.
History: One of the earliest names in the record-producing market, with a complex history. Formed in 1898 by an ex-employee of Emile Berliner, the parent company was acquired by GT&S of England in 1903, its European label name being spelled without hyphens (in America it was spelled Zon-O-Phone).
