Design: The silhouetted image of a pair of entertainers, dressed in fancy costumes and singing from a song-book, is contained within a round-topped frame or mirror, laid over a flowing banner containing the label name. The typography and graphics are very Victorian in appearance, with thin-lined curlicues and fussy ornamentation.
History: Before cinema theatres became the entertainment venue of the British working class, thousands of 'music-halls' presented live entertainment of musical and comedy acts, sometimes quite coarse in nature; this seems to be representative of that genre (below is a typical offering).
