Design: A very strange and seemingly unrelated accretion of design elements, including straight, curving, swelled and wiggly lines and a straight-lined envelope-shaped logo. The design appears to be halfway between curvilinear femininity and hard-edged masculinity. This is evident in the label name lettering, which sits on a curving baseline, but is drawn with bold, aggressive strokes, some of which have decorative additions (e.g. the 'E' and 'C'), yet these are treated harshly. Even the name, 'Rekord-Record,' seems to have a male and female duality!
