Design: One of my favourite labels, because of the florid Victorian-era letterpress type and ornament, which would have been at least 30 years old by the time this label was printed. An unusual arrangement, devoid of copyright information, serial or catalogue numbers or other details. Note the tiny stars at the north-south-east-west compass points (whether for decoration or register is unknown), and the circle through which the spindle-hole is punched.
History: Unknown (have info? Please send to email@example.com). Perhaps 'Regentone' had business connections with 'Regent,' a name which appeared on other contemporary labels of German manufacture (Playwell, Pickofall), though the lack of production sophistication suggests a British origin.
