Design: The basic design is almost identical to the U.K. Zonophone label (right), with a double-line border surrounding the whole, and dotted lines forming quarter-segments. A decorative 'Z' design also appears within the lines in the upper segment.

History: Parlophone was a pre-World War I label owned by Carl Lindström, a German businessman. The label disappeared during WWI, but was revived in later years. Label scan courtesy of musicologist and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
