Oxford Disc Record 2

Oxford Disc Record (U.S.A.) / c. 1914

Design: An attractive lilac purple is used for this single-sided 'Disc Record' (as distinguished from the cylinder record) label. Though the design elements appear to be basically the same as the previous label, on closer inspection the lettering of the label name is slightly different, and the cartouche at the foot is quite different.

History: Produced by Columbia for Sears, Roebuck stores from 1907 to 1915, when the replacement Silvertone label was introduced.
