Musola Record

Musola Record (The Netherlands) / c. 1913

Design: Some stylistic elements of the Victorian era linger on in this design, including the curly-ended lines defining the upper and lower segments (the upper panel being made smaller to accommodate the label name, as also seen on the Columbia label), which are in contrast with the sharply broken arm of the cap 'A.' A wind-up table-top phonograph (presumably made by the Musola company) sits above the spindle-hole.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Klaas Vonk of The Netherlands.
