Lyrophon 6

Lyrophon (Italy) / c. 1912

back next

Design: A beautiful multi-coloured lithographic illustration of a violinist, dressed in eighteenth-century clothes, playing his instrument in front of a classical building, to the enjoyment of a female listener. The Lyrophon logo is lettered with abandon, the swash underline curling behind like a whip.

History: As previous. Label scan courtesy of musicologist and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K.
