Design: A beautifully ornate Art Nouveau border separates the upper and lower segments while creating a central panel; the design is similar to that seen on the Odeon label. The Art Nouveau fashion, which had its beginnings in the late 19th century, lasted only a couple of decades. The Lyrophon logo has been reduced quite a bit from that seen on a previous label, to allow for the insertion of a decorative band of calligraphic script, appearing above. The inverted-curving baseline of the label name is very unusual at this period in time, as almost all label names follow the upward outer curve.
