Design: The images appearing on the label are of King George V (1865-1936) and his wife, Queen Mary (1867-1953). He was crowned King in 1910, and this release appears to be a celebration of his accession to the throne. In 1917 (during WWI against Germany) he changed the name of the royal 'house' from the Germanic-sounding 'Saxe-Coburg-Gotha' to the English-sounding 'Windsor.' The notation 'Reproduced in Prussia' would not have helped sales following the breakout of hostilities in 1914.The vocal artist, Stanley Kirkby (1878-1949), was an extremely popular singer during the music-hall era.
