Design: The original illustration, as seen on the previous label (right) has been simplified for reproduction in a single colour. Rather than being blissfully unaware of the recording horn, the woman now seems to be singing toward it. The label name, set in a thin condensed outline, now appears in a thin condensed outline, the weight of line matching that in the illustration. The curlicued ornaments at each end of the label name have also been simplified, into a series of straight lines.
History: Homophon, the parent company, was established in Germany in 1905. In continental Europe the label name was spelled 'Homokord,' though appearing in England as 'Homochord'; after 1923 it would sometimes be spelled as 'Homocord.'
