Design: In this revised line illustration, much of the fine detail seen in the original artwork (right) has been eliminated, making for a much cheaper printing job. The cloud-filled sky has gone, as have the background trees and the complex diaper patterning below. All shading has been deleted, and areas filled with flat colour.
History: The German company Homokord sold Homophone and Homochord (the Anglicized version of Homokord) records in England between about 1907 and 1930. The artist featured here, the accordionist George 'Pamby' Dick (1864-1942), made many commercial recordings between 1909 and 1918.
