Design: The 'natural' horn shown as a logo is an early type that consists of a coiled tube with a mouthpiece and a flared bell, and was often used in Germany during the hunt. The delicate floral design isolating the label name is a nice touch.
History: Label scan courtesy of collector and music researcher Daniel Beller of Israel, who notes: "Hohnerphone, along with Gloria Record and Kronophon Record (right), was one of a variety of labels offered to the countries of the River La Plata (Argentina and Uruguay) by German businessman Carl Lindström. They all seem to be variants of the same basic Polyphone masters." Whether the label name had any connection with the Hohner musical instrument-making company is unknown.
