Design: A very pretty and delicate design showing Art Nouveau influence in the curvilinear border and the butterfly itself. Despite the insistent claim of entirely British manufacture, the label 'shell' is evidently of German origin, judging by the quality of printing and the style of lettering used for the label name (compare similarities with the Jumbo label).
History: Unknown (have info? Please send to firstname.lastname@example.org). Masters from the Grammavox label (which ran from 1910 to 1915, and was based in the Piccadilly area of London) were sometimes used, according to UK music researcher and collector Bill Dean-Myatt of the U.K., who kindly supplied this label scan.
