Alfa (Czechoslovakia) / c. 1913

Design: Plain typography and simple (cheap) printing, with the label name hand-lettered in a sans serif style.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Gabriel Gössel of Czechoslovakia, who writes: "Alfa was one of many cheap labels produced by the pioneer of the recording industry in Czechoslovakia, Mr. Diego Fuchs. Their repertoire was 'cheap,' too -- mostly consisting of brass bands and folk tunes. Alfa was advertised alongside another of Fuch's labels, Omega."
