Albion Record 2

Albion Record (U.K.) / c. 1913

Design: The illustration, which now has a background, which shows some awful perspective work, but the drawing would have been made directly on a stone, not the easiest of disciplines. The fountains (scene of New Years' Eve hi-jinks), the dome of the National Gallery and the portico of St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church are suggested in the background. The 'shell' was drawn on stone and printed by lithography, stipple work (random dots) being used to soften the edges to the illustration.

History: As the previous page.
