Rubin-Record (Germany) / c. 1907

Design: The label name lettering is similar to that appearing on the Jumbola label; the dot-dash border design is very much like that appearing on the Playwell Record.

History: Label scan courtesy of collector Georg Richter of Germany, who notes: "As can be seen here, Rubin-Record was produced by Homophon Company G.m.b.H., Berlin. Below is an advertisement which appeared in Phonographische Zeitschrift from November 14 1907, indicating that 'from now on our records are named Homokord,' and showing the naked harpist as their well-known trade mark."
