Design: A magnificent, ornate design featuring the tiara (triple-tiered crown) and crossed keys of papal heraldry, along with strapwork (the pierced border), dangling rope swags and a flowing banner carrying the words 'Canto Gregoriano' (Gregorian chant). The printing of a light colour (gold) printing on a black background creates the effect of a photographic negative. The 'scribing cupid' appears on either side.
History: A British-made label intended for export. Label scan courtesy of collector Jukka Kettunen of Finland.
