Columbia Popolare

Columbia Popolare (Italy) / c. 1908

Design: The same basic design as the previous label, though differing in the details (e.g. the shape of the 'magic notes'). The affixed stamp, a belted strap design bearing the letters GC (Graphophone Company), is very beautiful.

History: The label differs from the previous in that the corporate name is here defined as 'Columbia Graphophone Company' instead of 'Columbia Phonograph Company.' The wording seems to have been used arbitrarily on different issues. Label scan courtesy of collector Luca Barzaghi of Italy.
